Privacy and confidentiality

Both Clawd Technologies Inc. and Clawd Technologies USA Inc. (collectively “Clawd”) are committed to respecting the privacy and confidentiality of information they receive, in accordance with their Privacy Policy, and applicable laws. Clawd has established and will continue to maintain reasonable safeguards to protect the security and confidentiality of personal information. However, you acknowledge and confirm that the Internet is not a secure medium where privacy and confidentiality can be guaranteed and that complete security and confidentiality of transmissions to and from Clawd website and applications over the Internet is not possible at this time. Your confidential use of Clawd website and applications cannot be guaranteed and you acknowledge that your use of Clawd website and applications (including information you transmit to the website or applications) may be subject to access or manipulation by, or disclosure to, third parties. Without limiting any other disclaimer herein, Clawd and its affiliates shall not be responsible or liable for any damages that you or any other person may suffer in connection with any such breach of privacy, confidentiality or security.

Personal information we collect at registration

To access the Clawd informational website and applications you must register with our certification service provider, Uniksign Technologies Inc. (“Uniksign”), in order to access specific functionalities of the website and applications. When you register for access, you need to provide several personal information (for example, your name, birthday, postal code, email address, driver’s licence number, etc.). This information is used to provide you with a secure, private and convenient digital identity on the Clawd website and applications:

  • Identity Verification: Personal information is used by Clawd to confirm your identity when authenticating yourself on the Clawd informational website and applications. This information is matched against our existing records to enable you to sign in.
  • Communication with Clawd: If you send Clawd an e-mail through our “Contact” feature, the email address you provide will be used to contact you with our reply. If your email address changes, you can always change the e-mail address we have on record in the “Modify Your Personal Information” section of the Clawd informational website and applications. Remember that the security of email communication cannot be guaranteed. Do not send private or confidential information to Clawd via email (e.g., your Social Insurance Number, date of birth, etc.). Furthermore, Clawd will never send you an e-mail message requesting personal information. Any such request is a fraudulent attempt to gain your valuable personal information (a technique known as “phishing”).
  • Forgotten password: If you forget your password, you may apply for a password reset by clicking one the “Forgot your password?” link on the password entry page of the log in process. To confirm your identity, you must complete the “Email address” field and answer a security question. Thereafter, you will receive, by email, a temporary password that you will be invited to reset.

What your information will not be used for:
